A friend of mine has been drawing since she was a young child. She used to be very good at it but she took several years off in her late teens and only just got back into it a few years ago. Now that she is 27, she feels stuck and can’t find inspiration to make anything. She bought herself a new drawing tablet which was not cheap and is beating herself up overspending that money now because she hasn’t made a single thing with it yet. What is a good way or a good place to find inspiration for a struggling artist?

When I lose inspiration for my work, I often venture out into the local forest and just walk around, seeing the sites, the animals and not having to hear the sounds of cars and people everywhere. Get away from the world for a bit, and that could inspire anyone.

Another thing I recommend, is to just relax, take a break, hang out with family and friends and just live a little. I’m sure you will find inspiration in some way.
