What do you think should be allowed? Should children be allowed to live with the parent they want to? Or should each parent get days with the child?

Of course I think it depends on the parents and their history, and how the children was taken care of. I think if both parents are good parents, it should be 50/50 custody. But, if there is an abusive parent, than the other parent should take the child in. What are your thoughts on this?

I think children older than some cutoff age (say 12 years) should be able to choose. They should be probed in front of both the parents and the Judge. This decision of theirs should further be validated and confirmed by some expert (like a child psychologist or something), by having individual interviews or sessions with the kid/s.

I say this because it doesn’t seem natural that some stranger Judge has been given free reign to decide the fate of your kids.
