When it comes to custody cases, I feel like the mother tends to win most of the time, even when a child wants to stay with their father or other parent. I think that’s kind of changing though, as I will admit, father’s get a bad rap when it comes to custody battles. They always get painted out as the bad person, but it’s not always the case. Mothers can be awful too.

I believe this is the case, yes. The court favors the mother in most cases, even in cases where there is parental neglect. I never liked this though because I think plenty of fathers would do a much better job as single parenting than some mothers can. I think this kind of thinking is almost sexist in a way and very outdated.

It could be because that is the outdated sexist opinion that the Judge has (which is a reflection of the Society’s existing culture). Having gone through the vagaries of the legal system myself, I get the impression that due to some unknown reason, the Family laws of most states are crafted in such a way that it is favoring and rewarding the less responsible individual in the marriage.

If you happen to be the one who is more hardworking, responsible and more productive individual, you get punished for that during and after the divorce in that they are very eager to make you a slave to the lazy, irresponsible and less productive one.

There is need to change these moronic laws.
