I’m making this blunt statement at the very onset: The way people are living in most parts of the world today is not very meaningful, good or natural. Our existence right now has become a more or less meaningless grind for a paycheck to pay bills and taxes – to just pay the interest on the national debts or the respective countries in which we live in. This is to keep the economy on an infinite growth hamster wheel, with pretty much no regard for human life other than treating it as a “Resource” for extracting labor and increasing the productivity of the economy.
I am not blaming any one group or organization or coming up with yet another conspiracy theory, but I have come to the conclusion that the root cause of all this idiocy in our society – the meaningless rat race and wage slavery driven lives is: “us” -> we are allowing it to happen and continue and worse still, we are the ones enabling it with our own un-conscious contributions to aid and feed this idiotic system (of course without consciously realizing it – mainly due to our fear of survival).
I do not know whether to blame it on evolutionary biology or our own refusal to let our human consciousness (collective consciousness) to evolve to a point where we are able to see the bigger picture of our existence, see through the uselessness of our current societal setups and do something about it – whatever it might be – I do not have any answers to what can be done, but at least get educated and be aware that there is indeed a problem with our current way of existence. Instead we seem to be sleepwalking in this bloodsucking system, pretending that since we don’t know any better, this is “normal”.
We or our society ended up like this because this is how human civilization evolved over time – influenced by human greed and survival instincts and it’s a shame that in this day and age, the common man or middle-class people are feeling helpless about doing anything about it.
I also don’t know if this whole thing is driven by some secret cabal in some sort of a coordinated fashion or is it all the result of how the human superorganism ends up self-organizing and functions, thanks to how Systems theory works in the universe.
So, for now, since I do not have a structure to this book, I’ll just keep on adding chapters to this book based on categories that I come across, and feel is important in articulating this worldview.
